This is a wonderful vintage book from 1941 titled A Yankee Flier with the R.A.F. by Al Avery and illustrated by Paul Laune. The Air Combat Series for Boys. It is a story about an American pilot that joins the Royal Air Force (R.A.F.) in the early days of World War II. One of a series of books about pilots.
